Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a raster output scanner interface device having capability to designate the size and address of a sub-pixel spot. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a means 48 for receiving pixel video data, and delaying the pixel video data only in a programmable time, means 50 for receiving the delayed and non-delayed pixel video data, and controllably switching the delayed or non-delayed pixel video data to a raster output scanner, and means 54 for receiving sub-pixel address data and the pixel video data, programming the delay of the pixel video data delaying means in response to the sub-pixel address data, and controlling the switch means in response to the sub-pixel address data and the pixel video data.
