PURPOSE: To obtain a reaction product for a raw material of a radiation- sensitive material having urea, urethane and a carboxyl group by reacting an unsaturated alcohol with a specific amino compd. such as polyisocyanate and reacting the obtained reaction product with a dibasic carboxylic acid anhydride.
CONSTITUTION: Di- or polyisocyanate (A) is reacted with an ethylenic mono- unsaturated or poly-unsaturated alcohol (B) and an amino compd. (C) represented by formula I [wherein R is a (substituted) alkane, allene polyether or polyester, R' is H, an alkyl or aryl and X is O or S] and/or an amino compd. represented by formula II [wherein R1 and R2 are each a (substituted) alkane, allene, polyether, polyamine or polyester and R3 is H, an alkyl or aryl] to obtain a urethane-urea compd. and a dibasic carboxylic acid anhydride (D) is reacted with this compd. to obtain the objective reaction product composed of an acid functional urethane-urea compd.
