PURPOSE: To provide a reactor remote shut down device capable of switching a control circuit after confirming the operation state of apparatuses when a switching means is switched.

CONSTITUTION: A reactor remote shut down device, which performs the shutdown action of a reactor when a control panel 20 installed in a main control room to operate and monitor the apparatuses in a nuclear power plant can not be operated, has a switching means 35 switching the control circuit and the monitoring circuit of apparatuses between the control panel 20 and a shut down device main body 30. The switching means 35 is provided with switching position to set the control circuit to the control panel 20 side and the monitoring circuit to the shutdown device main body 30 side, and the control circuit and the monitoring circuit can be switched in steps.
