Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase a workability at the time of manufacturing, to correct a shading and to read an original without fail and correctly with a simple constitution by covering the outer circumferential part of a roller with a member having thermal contraciton. CONSTITUTION:A platen roller 1 is formed by a roller part 5 and a thermal contraction tube 7 as a covering body and the roller part 5 is formed by pressuring a shaft 3 to a cylinder body such as a rubber member. Further, at the outer circumference of the roller part 5, as a white member, for example, a white member having a thermal contraction, namely a terminal contraction tube 7 is covered. The length of the length-wise direction of the thermal contraction tube 7 is set so that the final length when the tube is thermal-contracted and covered at the outer circumferential surface of the roller part 5 is made a little longer than the length of the length-wise direction of the roller part 5. Thus, since the surface of the platen roller 1 is white, for example, even the original, in which the paper thickness of the original is easy to be thinner and unclear can be read as the original with a high contrast ratio.
