To provide a reading desk for lying which makes both hands of a user free to do something else while reading by solving the problem that, although generally a book is held by both hands at the time of reading the book while lying, both hands become tired with the passage of time and the fingertips become cold when it is cold.

While lying, a book is placed on a table and the upper part is held by a clip instead of both hands, the lower part is supported by a bar, and if necessary, pages are held down by a spring. An angle for facilitating reading is made and both hands are not used other than the time of turning over the page. As an application example, newspaper can be read. This table is a collapsible compact table.
