To provide a reading desk which enables a user to read comfortably without having to hold a book in hands by solving the problem that when reading for a long time, reading on a bed before sleeping or having to read in a supine position because of an illness, holding of a book tires arms and an unnatural posture makes a reader tired and the price of which is low enough for everyone to readily purchase.

In stead of holding a book in hands, the book is turned down on a transparent plate of a book rest so that a user can read from under the plate in a supine position. The reading desk is also provided with a device to easily rune the pages of the book and the structure of which is so simple that it is available at a low cost.
