To provide a rearrangement method of an articulated coordinate measuring machine, which can achieve both of convenience of an articulated coordinate measuring machine (articulated-CMM) capable of measuring a hidden point and merits of a laser tracker capable of measuring wider space.

In a system 100, an articulated coordinate measuring machine (CMM) 200 and a laser tracker 400 are used and a retroreflector making a pair with the laser tracker 400 is arranged on the CMM 200. Since a measurement value by the CMM 200 and a measurement value by the laser tracker 400 can be transformed into coordinate values in a common reference coordinate system, the CMM 200 can be moved. Further a hidden point which cannot be measured by the laser tracker 400 can be measured by the articulated CMM 200 or the like.
