Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily select a channel of a program of a desired genre.
SOLUTION: A determination circuit 10 extracts a selection code denoting a genre of a program included in an image signal of the program of the channel selected by a selection circuit 111 and gives it to a control circuit 82. Meanwhile, a remote controller 200 is controlled, and when the selection code corresponding to the genre of the program desired by a user is outputted, the control circuit 82 receives the selection code via a remote control signal reception circuit 112. The control circuit 82 controls the channel selection circuit 111 so that the selection code supplied from the discrimination circuit 101 is coincident with the selection code from the remote controller 200.
