PURPOSE: To accurately detect the burst position of a signal transmitted from a slave station by a TDMA(time division multiple access) system.
CONSTITUTION: The receiver is composed of a high-frequency amplifier 1 receiving a slave station burst signal to be transmitted by a TDMA communication system from plural slave stations and amplifying the signal, a frequency converter 2 frequency-converting the amplifier output to intermediate frequency, a logarithmic amplifier 4 logarithmic-amplifying the converter output, a comparator 5 comparing the logarithmic amplifier output and a threshold for burst position setting and outputting signal which is larger than the threshold and a detector 6 detecting a burst position from the comparator output. The receiver is composed of an intermediate frequency amplifier 3 having an AGC function between the frequency converter 2 and the logarithmic amplifier 4. Thus, as the intermediate frequency amplifier 3 makes the output constant level even if a difference exists in a receiving electric field, a difference in an electric field intensity is eliminated and the detection of a right burst position becomes possible.
