PURPOSE: To selectively switch the coil in accordance with a photographing object so that the target part can be photographed with high sensitivity by preparing one kind of receiving coil device for supporting integrally a first coil, a second coil and a third coil whose sensitivity areas are different in accordance with each object.

CONSTITUTION: A first coil 3 consisting of an elliptical loop supported integrally by a common supporting body 6, and a second and a third coils 4, 5 whose greater parts are placed in an area in the coil concerned 3 and which consist of a circular loop are prepared. In the case of selecting and operating a first coil 3, an elliptical first coil 3 is operated by a switching means 7, and allowed to cope with the case when especially it is desired to photograph the whole part of both sides, and in the case of selecting and operating a second (a third) coils 4 (5), circular second (third) coils 4 (5) are operated by the same switching means 7 in the same way, and allowed to cope with the case when especially it is desired to photograph the parts of left (right) sides, and it is unnecessary to move a patient. Accordingly, by only one kind of receiving coil device, switching can be executed so as to constitute three kinds of different coils in accordance with the photographing object part, and it can be used properly so that the highest sensitivity is displayed in accordance with a photographing state.
