PURPOSE: To provide the reception device of a digital signal, which can faithfully waveform-shape a received digital communication signal into an original transmission signal so as to output it.

CONSTITUTION: The reception device 10 alternately samples the communication signal (a) received through an analog buffer 11 at a prescribed period by S/H circuits 14 and 16 and detects whether a difference between the respective output voltages (h) and (i) of the S/H circuits 14 and 16 is more than a prescribed value (Vth1-Vth2)/2 or not by an OP amplifier 18 and comparators 20 and 22. At the time of detection, rise/fall detection circuits 26 and 28 judge whether the change of the signal (a) is increase or decrease so as to detect the rise/fall of the signal (a). When it is continuously detected twice, it is so constituted that the Q output of an S/R latch 34 is inverted. Thus, the change of the received signal (a) is promptly grasped, a waveform is shaped and single noise can be removed.
