Title:
RECOMBINANT DNA OBTAINED BY INCORPORATING DNA CODING FOR MYOSIN HEAVY CHAIN SM1 ISOFORM PROTEIN INTO VECTOR DNA, MICROORGANISM INCLUDING THE RECOMBINANT DNA AND THERAPEUTIC AGENT FOR ARTERIOSCLEROSIS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3328260
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new DNA obtained by incorporating a specific DNA coding for a smooth muscle-type myosin heavy chain SM1 isoform protein into a vector and useful for a therapeutic agent for gene therapy for restenosis after PTCA treatment and a therapeutic agent for arteriosclerosis, or the like.
SOLUTION: This new recombinant DNA is obtained by incorporating a DNA, which codes for a smooth muscle-type myosin heavy chain SM1 isoform protein and consists of the base sequence of the formula, or a DNA, in which one or several bases are added, deleted or substituted in the base sequence, into a DNA of a vector and is useful for a therapeutic agent for a gene therapy for restenosis after treatment of percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty(PTCA) in which a stenosed part is widened using a balloon catheter and a therapeutic agent for arteriosclerosis, or the like, for the treatment of arteriosclerosis. The recombinant DNA is obtained by cloning a cDNA library of mouse uterus using a cDNA of a rabbit smooth muscle-type myosin heavy chain SM2 isoform protein as a probe and incorporating the resultant gene into a vector.
