To obtain a variant tpa-1A gene recombinant DNA which can produce the variant of eukaryote type TPA-1A protein in large quantities and is useful for medicines or the like by containing a specific variant gene.
This variant tpa-1A gene recombinant DNA has a baculovirus expression vector and the variant gene of tpa-1A gene that codes for TPA-1A protein containing the amino acid sequence of the formula consisting of 704 amino acids in nematode. This variant gene is the variant tpa-1A gene recombinant DNA which is integrated into the position where permits the expression of the variant gene in the baculovirus expression vector in the host and has at least one of the following variation in the nematode tpa-1 gene: (i) The conversion of the codon that encodes aspartic acid to the threonine-stop codon. (ii) The conversion of the codon that encodes alanine to the codon that encodes threonine. Further, the variant nematode TPA-1 protein is preferably produced by cultivating the variant obtained by means of transformation by this recombinant DNA.
