PURPOSE: To especially provide an electrifier capable of stably electrifying over a long period, in a device imparting a charge to an image forming body by contact electrification, forming an electrostatic latent image with an exposing means and turning the electrostatic latent image into an image by development, so as to transfer the image on a recording paper, in an electrostatic recorder, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A recorder forming a latent image on an image forming surface electrified by the electrifier 1, to obtain the image from a latent image has the electrifier 1 composed of plural rollers 121 and 131 composed of a conductive member and an endless-like electrifying belt 14 extended on the rollers 121 and 131 and having a multilayer constitution, conductivity and resistivity, allowing a part of the endless-like electrifying belt 14 to contact with the image forming surface and simultaneously, applying a voltage to the endless-like electrifying belt 14, as a characteristic.
