To provide a recorder-reproducer which can prevent omission of the image/voice data to be recorded on a recording medium before and after the recording medium is replaced with another and also can record some of these image/voice data on both recording media with duplication.
The image/voice recorder-reproducer includes an area to store data when the area of a recording medium is deficient and the image/voice data are continuously recorded in the area when the area of recording medium is deficient or the recording medium is replaced with another. When the recording medium is replaced with a recordable one, the data recorded on the said area are also recorded on the recordable recording medium. Then the same data are recorded on both recording media before and after they are replaced with each other.
