Title:
RECORDING AMPLIFIER FOR TWO-TERMINAL THIN-FILM MAGNETIC HEAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5720905
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To shorten a measurement time for recording and reproduction characteristics, and to reduce inspection cost greatly by providing an overshoot control circuit, which controls the amount of an overshoot to a small value, in front of the final stage of a recording and amplification part connected directly to a head.

CONSTITUTION: An FF1 turned on and off with a clock signal 101, the 1st signal level conversion part 2 performing the level conversion of two digital signals 102 and 103 of the FF1, the 2nd signal level conversion part 3 turning on and off four transistors (TR) of a recording amplification part 4 according its output signals, and an overshoot control circuit part 6 controlling output signals 106W109 of the conversion part 3 and controlling the overshoot amount of a recording current are provided. In this control circuit part 6, combinations of series-connected resistances R and FET switches are wired to the bases of the TRs in parallel and one side is earthed; and the FET switches are operated coupling with a recording current setting switch 8, and the resistances R connected in parallel to those FET switches are selected.
