PURPOSE: To simultaneously output picture data received from the same transmission source even when communication is interrupted by recording the picture data received before interruption together with transmission source information when the communication is interrupted, and simultaneously outputting these data when the picture data are received after the communication is started again.

CONSTITUTION: This system is composed of a network control part 1, MODEM 2, communication control part 3, picture memory 4, restorage part 5, output part 6 and control part 7. When the communication is interrupted by generating communication error or the like, the picture data received up to the moment are held and recorded in the picture memory 4 together with the transmission source information, and a communication line is connected again so as to execute communication. When this communication is normally completed and the transmission source information of the received picture data is coincident with the transmission source information of the picture data already held and recorded in the picture memory 4, the held picture data and the picture data received and recorded later are continuously outputted. Thus, even when the communication is interrupted, the picture data received from the same transmission source can be simultaneously outputted.
