PURPOSE: To obtain easily the satisfactory information needed for a program test by collecting and recording various events including not only the execution or non-execution of the instruction words but the branch success or failure of the branch instructions in parallel with execution of the instruction words.
CONSTITUTION: The information on instruction execution events (the execution of instruction words, the success/failure of branch instructions, etc.) are recorded at a memory part 2200 corresponding to the addresses of an instruction word and its operand. The part 2200 includes the 4-bit information corresponding to said addresses of the instruction word and its operand for recording of those event information. The recording action of the instruction execution events is controlled by an event recording control part 2100. The part 2100 controls entirely an instruction execution event recording device 2000 according to the information stored in the event recording control words.
