Title:
RECORDING HEAD OSCILLATING MECHANISM OF PRINTING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6371362
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform printing in both directions, by using a recording head oscillating mechanism operated so as to change over the pressing angle of the recording head to a platen between the forward and backward paths of a carrier and a current supply type recording head having recording electrode groups respectively separately mounted on both sides of the leading end thereof.

CONSTITUTION: When a carrier 11 is moved from the left to the right in usual, a motor 18 is driven to rotate a change-over gear 22 in a counterclockwise direction and a recording head 15 is oscillated in the counterclockwise direction in a drawing and the recording electrode group provided to the leading end of the recording head 15 on the right side thereof is pressed to a platen 10 to perform forward path printing while moved from the left to the right. After the forward path printing is finished, the motor 18 is reversely driven to rotate the change-over gear 22 in the clockwise direction and the recording head 15 is oscillated in the clockwise direction in the drawing and the recording electrode group provided to the leading end of the recording head 15 on the left side thereof is pressed to the platen to perform backward path printing while moved from the right to the left.
