Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a yellow recording liquid giving an easily distinguishable yellow record on white or light-colored background and resistant to the change of color with time, by adding a small amount of a black dye to a yellow dye used as the coloring component.

CONSTITUTION: The objective recording liquid is prepared by adding (A) a black dye (e.g. C.I.Direct Black 19) in an amount of 0.1W8wt% to (B) a yellow dye (e.g. C.I.Acid Yellow 23) as a coloring component, and adding the mixture to a solvent preferably comprising (C) water and (D) a water-soluble organic solvent (preferably diethylene glycol or triethylene glycol monomethyl ether). The sum of the components (A) and (B) in the whole recording liquid is preferably 0.5W 15wt%, and the contents of the components (C) and (D) in the liquid are preferably 10W70wt% and 10W80wt%, respectively.

EFFECT: Excellent color reproduction in multicolor recording even by mixing with a cyan ink, etc.
