PURPOSE: To obtain a clear picture by increasing the transmittance of light of ink receiving layer, by a method wherein the microcapsule involving optical curing type resin is contained in the ink receiving layer of recording medium, and after recording the ink jet, the resin is cured by breaking the microcapsule.

CONSTITUTION: The coating liquid is prepared by adding preferably 20W500 parts (to 100 parts microcapsule) void component such as filler or the like and, if necessary, preferably 5W20 parts (to 100 parts microcapsule and void component) adhesives (for example: PVA or the like) to the microcapsule containing 1W several hundreds μm oily optical curing type resin (for example: polyethylene glycol diacrylate or the like) and photopolymerization initiator. The ink receiving layer is provided by coating and drying the coating liquid on the substrate. The obtained recording medium is recorded by ink jet, the microcapsule being broken by pressurizing or the like and it is cured by irradiation of xenon light or the like.
