PURPOSE: To provide a low-noise and low-power consumption printing device capable of copying in an SA printing device and capable of being quickly started.
CONSTITUTION: Shape memory alloys 1 to 4 are arranged in a lattic on a recording medium in accordance with the resolution, heat or light is selectively applied to deform and raise the alloys 1 to 4 by ≥30-μm, and a latent image is formed by this recording method. This printing device consists of a recording medium provided with the alloys 1 to 4, a mechanism for forming a latent image on the recording medium, a developing mechanism for depositing a developer on the latent image to form a sensible image, a mechanism for transferring the sensible image to a recording paper, a cooling head for returning the deformed alloy to its original shape and a mechanism for cleaning off the developer remaining on a drum. Further, when the sensible image on the recording medium is transferred to the recording paper, the sensible image is copied on the plural pressure sensible papers placed on the recording paper by exerting an appropriate pressure on the deformed and raised part of the alloys 1 to 4.
