PURPOSE: To record and reproduce signals, required to display a radar echo, on a VTR of the standard TV system, by synthesizing a video and a trigger signal from a radar to make the video signal of the VTR and synthesizing an azimuth and a reference azimuth signal to make a voice signal.

CONSTITUTION: Every time a trigger signal (b) is inputted, a video signal (a) from a radar is outputted from a gate circuit 21, and the signals (a) and (b) and a synchronizing signal 23 on the standard TV system are synthesized 24 and it is converted into a video signal to obtain a video recording signal for the video signal recording part of a VTR5. Further, an azimuth signal (e) from the radar and a reference azimuth signal (f) are synthesized 25 and the resulting signal is supplied to the voice signal recording part of the BTR5. Then, a reproduced signal is obtained from the video signal recording part; the reproduced signal after the synchronizing signal is separated 26 is amplified 27 to obtain a video signal C, and a trigger signal (d) in the reproduced signal after the synchronizing signal separation is detected 28. Further, a reproduction output is obtained from the voice signal recording part and separate an azimuth signal (g) from a reference azimuth signal (h) and extracted. Consequently, signals required for the display of a radar echo are recorded and reproduced on a video recorder of the standard TV system.
