Abstract:
To provide a prismatic container which can be formed by a thin blank while reducing combinations of punches and dies and having one side wall thicker in plate thickness than the other side wall, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the prismatic container comprises: a first forming step S2 of drawing a blank to form a first intermediate container body; and a second forming step S3 of redrawing and ironing the first intermediate container body to form a second intermediate container body. The second forming step S3 includes a repeating step of further redrawing and ironing the second intermediate body. The second forming step S3 includes a step S31 of inserting a plate presser between a punch and a workpiece used in the first or repeating step and adjusting/holding a clearance between the plate presser and a die, and a pressing step S32 of regulating the radial movement of the workpiece and pressing the opening end of the workpiece in an axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
