Title:
RECTANGULAR PULSE CURRENT GENERATOR, MICROWAVE OSCILLATOR AND HIGH FREQUENCY CHARGED PARTICLE ACCELERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3445429
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectangular pulse current generator small in size, light in weight, high in efficiency and long in service life, and to provide a microwave oscillator and a high frequency charged particle accelerator using the rectangular pulse current generator.
SOLUTION: This rectangular pulse current generator is provided with a pulse shaping circuit (C0, L0, C1-C5, L1-L5) generating a pulse voltage decreasing as time elapses and a switch (SW) through which the pulse voltage is fed to a load (RL) in the closing state and whose on-resistance (R1) is decreased as time elapses. Then a switch whose on-resistance (R1) is changed so that the sum (RL+R1) of the load and the resistance of the switch itself is proportional to an output voltage (Vpfn) of the pulse shaping circuit is used for the switch (SW). The pulse shaping circuit includes a capacitor (C0) storing a prescribed amount of charges through the connection to a DC power supply and a circuit (L0, C1-C5, L1-L5) shaping an output voltage waveform when the charge of the capacitor is discharged.
