A cutter 100 is driven along a frame connecting portion 60 fixing a cleaning frame 13 and a toner storage frame 16 and a side cover 19 by the injection of a fusable resin between them or along the vicinity of the portion 60 in order to make a cut in it. Thereafter, the frames 13, 16, and 19 are separated and components fitted in each frame is detached from each other. Then, the components are checked and recycled or replaced with new ones. Alternatively, after toner is supplied, the components are fitted together in order to assemble each frame again. In this case, the assembly is carried out via a spacer 101 of width corresponding to a portion cut off by the cutter.
