Abstract:
To provide a redox flow battery system which allows the power of a pump to be lowered and which is superior in maintenance.SOLUTION: A redox flow battery system comprises: a battery cell; a tank; and an outward route pipe; a return route pipe; and a pump. The pump is provided on the outward route pipe. One end of the outward route pipe and one end of the return route pipe are connected to the battery cell. The other end of the outward route pipe and the other end of the return route pipe are disposed to be in contact with an electrolyte solution stored in the tank. The redox flow battery system further comprises a gas supply-mechanism. The gas supply-mechanism causes a gas to flow into the return route pipe.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
