Title:
REDUCTION CASTING METHOD AND MOLDING FLASK FOR REDUCTION CASTING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3589614
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction casting method which allows the easy existence of a reducing compound in a cavity and can improve casting efficiency when casting the oxidized film on the molten metal surface of metal while reducing the same by the reducing compound.
SOLUTION: When aluminum castings are cast by pouring the melt of aluminum into the cavity 12a of a molding flask 12, a reduced pressure state is maintained in the cavity 12a of the molding tool 12 to keep the inside of the cavity in a substantially non-oxygen atmosphere and thereafter a magnesium nitrogen compound is formed by reacting the gaseous magnesium and gaseous nitrogen poured injected into the cavity 12a. The melt of the aluminum is then poured into the cavity 12a to the inside wall surface of which the magnesium nitrogen compound is adhered and while the oxidized film on the surface of the molten metal poured into the cavity 12a of the molding tool 12 is reduced by the reducing compound, the oxidized film is cast.
