To provide a dielectric substance having excellent reduction resistance which enables the increase of Q value of a ceramic capacitor for temperature compensation by using Ni or an Ni alloy for an internal electrode, and further enables reduction of the cost of the capacitor.
The reduction resistant ceramic dielectric substance for temperature compensation has a composition containing, by mass, 0 to 45% calcium titanate, Al2O3 and SiO2 by 2 to 20% in total and one or more kinds selected from MnO, Cr2O3, Fe2O3, CoO and NiO by 0.1 to 1.0% in total, and the balance magnesium titanate of at least 50%. Further, the ceramic capacitor for temperature compensation is obtained by using the above ceramic as a dielectric substance, and Ni or an Ni alloy as the internal electrode.
