Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a light diffusive reflection plate with an excellent reflective characteristic and an active matrix substrate by a simple manufacturing process in a low cost and high yield and to facilitate large area formation of the substrate in a reflection liquid crystal display device internalizing a light reflection plate.
SOLUTION: A metallic film is formed on a glass substrate 1 made a surface a rugged shape by mechanical grinding/liquid medicine processing, and is made a light reflection film 2, and a transparent dielectric film 3 for flattening its surface is formed by a spin coat, and a pixel electrode 6 is formed on it by a transparent conductive film. When this device is used as the active matrix substrate having a switching element, the device is constituted so that source drain electrodes 4, 5 and source bus wiring are formed, and further, three layer films of the metallic film becoming a semiconductor film 7, a gate insulation film 8 and a gate electrode 9 are formed on it to a gate electrode wiring pattern by the same mask.
