Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection plate and an antenna apparatus with which a band gap band widens to a broad band.SOLUTION: A reflection plate 1 reflecting an electromagnetic wave belonging to a specific band gap band comprises: columnar state elements 10a-10d made of a columnar dielectric body, which have a plurality of reflection layers 1A-1D periodically arranged in parallel and at equal intervals on a same plane. The plurality of reflection layers 1A-1D respectively includes the columnar elements 10a-10d arranged orthogonal to each other and laminated, and size of bottom faces of each the columnar elements 10a-10d and intervals in the periodical arrangement (a periodical width a) of the columnar elements 10a-10d are set satisfying a condition in which a specific bandwidth indicating a ratio of the band gap bandwidth against a central frequency of the band gap bandwidth is 20% or more.
