Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide reflector which can be manufactured easily without forming the reflecting surface of the reflector in a wavy surface by constituting the reflector so that the offset between the reflecting surface and a parabolic surface may change linearly as the function of the distance from a symmetric axis. SOLUTION: A parabolic surface PA is symmetrically formed with respect to an axis OPz with an origin OP at the apex. A reflector is constituted so that the offset Δz between a reflecting surface SR and the parabolic surface PA may be controlled by the wavelength λ and may become the maximum between points OR and OP on the common symmetry axis OPz of the surfaces SR and PA, with the maximum value being a half wavelength λ/2. The offset Δz linearly decreases toward the common end CP of the generating lines GR and GP of the surfaces SR and PA from the points OR and OP and becomes zero at the end CP. Therefore, a fixed reflector which can transmit and receive a plurality of beams for communication can be obtained, because it can be considered that the reflector is constituted by applying the diffracting principle of a Fresnel lens to three dimensions.
