The reflow type automatic transaction device includes a supply currency storage part 21 for handling different kinds of currencies with the same face value and storing one of the kinds of currency so that the currencies received are diverted to payment; a payment currency storage part 32 for storing supply currencies; a temporary storage part 31 for temporarily storing the received currencies so that the received currencies are stored in the payment currency storage part; a collected currency storage part 22 for storing the other kind of currency; a conveying part 13; an identifying part 12; and a control part 60 for controlling each part. The control part has a receiving means for causing one kind of currency determined as the result of identifying the received currency to be conveyed to the payment currency storage part and for conveying the other kind of currency to the collected currency storage part, and a supply means for conveying the other kind of currency stored in the collected currency storage part to the supply currency storage part.
