PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of impact noise and the damage of a check valve by providing one or plural damping devices for damping pulsation on the inlet side of a compressor in operation, on a path for communicating the respective inlet pipes of plural scroll compressors provided with high pressure chambers.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of performing capacity control by stopping a compressor 1 and operating a compressor 2, the inside of the chamber 7 of the compressor 1 and a discharge pipeline 17 are cut off by a check valve 23 on the discharge side of the compressor 1. A check valve 20 provided at the inlet hole 12c of the fixed scroll 12 of the compressor 1 is also closed, but since a spring constant is made small in order to reduce pressure loss at the intake time, gas leak is generated, so that the pressure in the chamber 7 of the compressor 1 becomes equal to the pressure of an inlet pipeline 18. The compressor 2 in operation performs one intake stroke during one rotation of a turning scroll 11 so as to generate pulsation on the intake side, but this pulsation is transmitted through the inlet pipeline 18 and damped to disappear at a damping device 19.
