Title:
REFRIGERATOR FOR OUTDOOR USE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2714319
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a refrigerator for outdoor use which does not permit rainwater to enter an area for the cooling device when used outdoors.
CONSTITUTION: To the inner side at the lower part of each of left and right side plates 32, 33 and also of a rear side plate a fixing member 36 is attached with screw-guiding holes 35 held away from the inner side. A raindrop-proof cover 3 having flanges 37 over the fixing members 36 is attached to the perimeter of an insulating box 1 with the flanges 37 laid on the top board 12 of the insulating box 1, on which a cooling unit 2 is mounted, and by driving screws 38 through the screw-guiding holes 35 and into screw holes 14 in the insulating box 1 so that the edges of the side plates of the raindrop-proof cover 3 are separated from the perimeter of the insulating box 1. When it rains, rainwater runs down the outer sides of the side plates of the raindrop-proof cover 3 and falls in drops from the perimetrical edges, not soaking the top of the top board 12. Since no water runs down the outer surfaces of the insulating box 1, the outer surfaces are not easily soiled.
