Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide superalloy parts for the turbine blade of a jet engine.

CONSTITUTION: This superalloy parts contain a substrate article of superalloy and tightly adhered coating capable of reinforcing on the substrate. The coating has a compsn. contg., by weight, about 7.5% cobalt, about 9% chromium, about 6% aluminum, about 1% titanium, about 1.5% molybdenum, about 4% tantalum, about 3% tungsten, about 3% rhenium, about 0.5% hafnium, about 0.3% yttrium, about 0.5% columbium, about 0.05% carbon, about 0.015% boron, about 0.015% zirconium, and the balance nickel and is reinforced with γ phases and γ' phases formed by heat treatment.
