Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcement panel (upper cowl side panel) of a vehicle, of which an opening is closed in such a way that crushability of the reinforcement panel is not impaired, thus restraining sound leakage or passage of air through the opening of the reinforcement panel.SOLUTION: A reinforcement panel (upper cowl side panel 32) of a vehicle, according to an embodiment of the present invention is disposed along a direction where the impact load is applied upon a vehicle impact. The reinforcement panel of a vehicle includes an opening 320 formed at the area where crushing is required when receiving the impact load. The opening 320 is closed by a closing plate 325 having substantially the same shape as the opening 320. Between an outer periphery of the opening 320 and the closing plate 325, there is provided a slit-shaped space S extending substantially circumferentially around the opening.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
