Abstract:
To satisfactorily relay data between different communication networks while increasing a degree of freedom in installation.SOLUTION: A sensor system 1 is connected to a narrow-area wireless network 2 through a first wireless communication unit 33 of a gateway device 30, and is connected to a wide-area wireless network 3 through a second wireless communication unit 34. In addition, the gateway device 30 operates each unit with the power supplied from a power supply unit 46, intermittently operates the second wireless communication unit 34, which consumes relatively large power, and changes its cycle according to a state of the power supply unit 46. Therefore, in the sensor system 1, the gateway device 30 or the like can be installed even in a location where it is difficult to connect the gateway device 30 or the like to a commercial power supply, and various pieces of data can be exchanged by the gateway device 30 between each device of the wide-area wireless network 3 or the upper network 5 and each device of the narrow-area wireless network 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
