Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a remaining capacity measuring device for electric car capable of identifying the remaining capacity by an approximation line when data sampled on I-V coordinates in a specific period show proper scattering as a whole.
SOLUTION: Current flowing from a battery and voltage during running are collected with a data collecting and averaging means 17 in every certain period and average current and average voltage after elapsing 100msec are obtained and collected on I-V coordinates consisting of low, middle and high zones. At this moment, a zone number judgment means 26 judges the number of collected data in each zone. When the number is over a specific number or equal, a coefficient of correlation judgment means 19 judges the coefficient of correlation of collected data. When this coefficient of correlation shows high correlation, an approximation line calculation means 21 calculates an approximation line based on the data collected in the whole zone and a remaining capacity calculation means 22 indicates the remaining capacity based on this approximation line and the reference value on a display 16.
