Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a remedy for hyerlipemia, containing 4-alkoxy-2-pyrone derivative as an effective component.
CONSTITUTION: An agent containing a 2-pyrone derivative of the formula (R is 1-4C alkyl; A is ethylene group, vinylene group; Z is phenyl, o, m or p-chlorophenyl, 2,4-, 3,5-or 2,6-dichlorophenyl, 2,3-or 3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl, 5,6,7,8- tetrahydronaphthyl), as an effective component. It is mixed with proper diluents, etc., and administered in the form of oral preparation, injection,suppository, etc.
