PURPOSE: To obtain a camera whose portability is excellent by providing a housing part in the camera main body and simultaneously providing a movable mechanism which makes a light receiving part project from the aperture of the housing part in cooperation with the taking-out action of a remote control device.
CONSTITUTION: The remote control device 20 is housed in the housing part 15 of the camera main body 10 under a state that it is attracted and held by a magnet 22 on a slide fitting 21. When the remote control device 20 is taken out, a rotating table 27 pressed by a spring which is not shown in a figure is rotated with a rotating shaft 27a as a center and the light receiving part 3 of the remote control device fitted to it projects on the upper surface of the main body 10. At this time, the detection switch 29 of the light receiving part is pressed by the pawl 28 of the rotating table 27. Thus, the remote control of the camera is executed by receiving light transmitted by the operation of the release 30 of the remote control device 20. When the remote control device 20 is housed, it is inserted in the housing part 15 of the main body 10 so as to depress the light receiving part 3 and attracted by the magnet 22. Thereafter, it is depressed.
