To provide a remote maintenance system that enables a maintenance personal to cope with a maintenance request from a customer at any time and that can reduce the time required for taking a measure for the maintenance.
A maintenance object device being a remotely maintained device 2 is provided with a remotely maintained processing section 26 to which a remote maintenance device 1 is accessible, the remote maintenance device 1 is provided with a remote maintenance section 15 that determines instruction contents with respect to the maintenance on the basis of contents of entry information and a display/operation section 14 being an entry means of the entry information. The remote maintenance device 1 is provided with a communication interface 13 for the remote maintenance section and the remotely maintained device 2 is provided with a communication interface 23 for the remotely maintained section, the interfaces 13, 23 are connected to mobile phones 3 capable of data communication for data transmission/reception. The remote maintenance section 15 supplies instruction contents to the remotely maintained section 26 via the communication interface 13. The remotely maintained section 26 receives the instruction contents via the communication interface 23 and make an access according to the instruction contents.
