To provide a newly improved type auxiliary or supplementary heat exchanger or cooling device used with a conventional main heat exchanger or a radiator type cooling device.
This air-to-air aftercooler for the internal combustion engine is provided with a filter for filtering the ambient air; an aftercooler type heat exchanger separated from the main radiator type heat exchanger, disposed on an engine in a position separated from the main radiator type heat exchanger, and having an inner passage connected to the filter for receiving the ambient air passing through the filter, a second passage formed inside the aftercooler type heat exchanger for receiving the air turbo-supercharged by a turbo supercharger, guiding the turbo-supercharged air from one aftercooler type heat exchanger so that the turbo-supercharged air exchanges the heat with the ambient air, and feeding the turbo-supercharged air to an engine intake manifold; and a fan allowing the ambient air to pass through the filter and the inner passage of the remote aftercooler type heat exchanger and discharging the ambient air to the atmosphere.
