Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replacement processing method capable of preventing the reduction of the recording and reproducing accuracy of data.
SOLUTION: This method is a replacement processing method which is to be executed with respect to an information recording medium in which sector fields having address information are continuously arranged and a sector field in which address information can not be reproduced normally is regarded as a defective sector field and when these defective sector fields are continued by three sectors or more, these defective sector fields continued by three sector or more are made to be the object of a replacement processing in the method.
