Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance operability at the time of reproducing static images by providing a memory control means which selectively reads static images for plural screens in time-varying and static image data which are stored in a storage means.
SOLUTION: When a switch instructs a static image reproduction mode, a system control CPU 19 controls mechanism 33 via a servo CPU 23 and fast transports a magnetic tape 35. A recording part of static image data of the tape 35 is searched by using a static image flag stored on a back head of video data. When static image data is detected, whether a remaining area of track memory(MT) exists or not is detected. When the area exists, the static image data is reproduced from the tape 35, and the static image data for one frame portion is written in an area of bank 0 of the TM by means of encoding data I/O 11. An error correction circuit 9 sequentially reads data with one track period delayed more than an access time of the I/O 11 and rewrites it after correcting an error.
