PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rescan apparatus and method of a mobile terminal in which slot monitoring or system rescanning can be selectively performed.
SOLUTION: In the rescan method of the mobile terminal, the mobile terminal which periodically performs rescanning, selectively performs system rescanning or returns to an original system to perform monitoring in accordance with a time required for specific slot monitoring in the mobile terminal and a time, that is recorded on a scan list of the terminal, required for system rescanning.
