Abstract:
PURPOSE: To measure residual capacity correctly in a short time, with a simple constitution by sequentially comparing a measured voltage value with each voltage range of a look-up table to judge the residual capacity by an operating means.
CONSTITUTION: A sampling means 9 measures the terminal voltage of a battery 2 by a supply means 6, a battery-holding means 7 and a terminal voltage measuring means 8, while a power supply means 6 supplies a battery to a battery 2. A storage means 10 stores a look-up table which shows a relationship between a specified section and a corresponding specified voltage section. The specified section groups are inherent to the kind of the battery 2, the residual capacity of which is to be measured, and divided in such a manner as to be a representative of the individual residual capacity. Subsequently, the measured voltage value and the respective voltage sections of a table are compared respectively, the residual capacity of the battery 2 is judged by an operating means 11, and a display means 5 responds to the output. Thus, the residual capacity of the battery 2 can be measured correctly in a short time, with a simple constitution.
