Abstract:
To provide a resin composition for an optical material, having excellent optical characteristics.
The resin composition for the optical material is obtained by adding (B) a low-molecular compound to (A) a thermoplastic resin. The low-molecular compound (B) has properties for increasing a photoelastic coefficient of the resin composition for the optical material than that of the thermoplastic resin (A), and the amount of the added component (B) is ≥0.1 pt.mass and ≤10 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the component (A). Preferably, the thermoplastic resin comprises an aliphatic polyester-based resin and an acrylic resin.
