There is provided a resin particle comprising a copolymer of a mono(meth)acrylic acid ester-based monomer represented by general formula (1) and a polymerizable vinyl monomer except the mono(meth)acrylic acid ester-based monomer wherein the content of a structural unit derived from the mono(meth)acrylic acid ester-based monomer is within the range of 10-50 wt.%, and the content of a structural unit derived from a polyfunctional vinyl monomer having two or more ethylenically unsaturated groups is <5 wt.%. In the formula, R¹ is H or CH₃; R² and R³ are mutually different and each 2-5C alkylene; m is 0-100; n is 0-100 (with the proviso that both of m and n are not 0); and R⁴ is 1-20C alkyl, 6-20C aryl or 2-20C alkylcarbonyl.
