The retractable buddhist altar includes: a placing part 102 for placing the buddhist altar; a control unit 111 for moving and controlling the position of the placing part 102 by remote control; a first rotation transmission part 108 that transmits the moving and controlling by the control unit 111 with rotative power of a predetermined diameter; and a second rotation transmission part 103 that transmits the moving and controlling by the control unit 111 with rotative power of a variable diameter. The first rotation transmission part 108 has a support bar of a predetermined diameter, and the second rotation transmission part 103 has a hydraulic actuator that has a variable diameter to stabilize the orientation of the placing part 102, in accordance with a second rotation angle to be converted in synchronization with a first rotation angle transmitted by the first rotation transmission part 108.
